My views have changed since I became a Christian and I’m sure yours have, too. It has changed the things that I want and don’t want to do. I made sure not to use “stuff I can and can’t do” there because us Christians still have fun. We play skipbo and drink pink lemonade while watching reruns of “The Brady Bunch”. Fun stuff. It seems God is in the changing business now that I think about it. He changed what I wanted to dwell on, what I wanted to look at, who I wanted to hang out with and what I spent my time doing. Most people seem to think God is in the, “You better be perfect or I’ll get you” business. But you see, when you find God, YOU WANT to be a better person. At least I did. God changes you when you REALLY find Him. That’s why you can come to Him just as you are.

So, since you became a Christian, on what subjects have your views changed?

My outlook changed from despair to hope. Struggles took on a new meaning. Life became more than temporarily satisfying my earthly desires and chasing after the next rush. And everything you said too!

Interesting that you ask this question. I was thinking about this the other day.
I feel that in each chapter of my life (high school chapter, college chapter, graduate chapter, etc…) I have gone through change.
I think the hard thing for me is that I have always been around the church and Christianity. So it was natural when i got baptized and really i wonder about the change that I went through. I do not know if there was a huge change. Now that I start to reflect on it though I see that I have been changing and will keep changing.

If I look back at the person I was last year, I can see a definite change in my life. I think as Christians, we will always be changing because God never stops working–He's daily refining us, but as you said, it's up to us to want that change. I also think I've just grown-up in my faith (probably just due to age), but this journey that I'm on is something that I try not take for granted, and it something that I want to be on.

Knowing that I (and everyone around me) has a purpose that is specific. G-d is no respecter of persons, he does not care who you are or what you have done. That is liberating knowledge, it empowers me to believe that I can be who and what he says. My mind will continue to spend the rest of its days lining up with what has happened in my heart, that is not problematic to me. I can live daily in the knowledge that perfection is obtainable but not required, he chose to die for me before I deserved it, that will never change, this knowledge is more motivation to be all that He predestined me to be. G-d Rocks. Period.

My compassion for people has grown. Mostly with people I don't agree w spiritually/politically/intellectually. I can remember being "Joe Christian" in high school and I wasn't mean but I did have an US vs. THEM mentality. ____I'm glad God has tempered me over the past years. My level of compassion and grace for others has changed.

Lately, I find that God has made me less "black and white" – at least on some areas. He has taught me that there is more than one side to every case, and that every argument should be heard. This really annoys people around me, because I've become known to argue against my own opinions to make a point.. Haha. Seems like God still has some work to do, I should say

Good stuff, bro. My views have changed on A LOT from how I grew up. But even lately, the past few months, as God has reconstructed my heart, there has been a lot of change and I'm learning to understand and embrace what He wants. I've honestly never known God the way I have found Him in the past 3 months and that has changed me from the core. It's an amazing, and sometimes painful, journey.
