Here is my usual day– I wake up at 6am, eat an apple, brush my teeth, exercise, eat, have quiet time, blog and stuff, spend time with Jasmine, work, eat, eat some more, spend time with Jasmine, and then it’s bed time. That’s my basic routine. Today was a little different. I had to wake up early and drive for quite a while. I actually had to make the drive from Fort Collins to Denver. If you’ve ever driven that I-25 stretch, then you’ll know what I’m talking about. The drive back was glorious. Looking at the sun coming up over the Rockies to the west, I was reminded at what a great Maker we serve. Then I started thinking about His power. That made me start to think about all of the miracles that He can do and all the miracles that still need to happen. It’s funny how my mind starts this whole process. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a huge miracle. Well, at least in my mind I think so. I mean, child birth is quite a miracle and that happens every day, but I’m thinking more along the lines of the healing miracles that happened a lot in the Bible. If God is still the same, He can still do those things. Those were my thoughts and prayers for the drive back. No, I didn’t close my eyes.

  • I had a friend tell me a story yesterday of a friend who was on death's door with cancer and who is now cancer-free. She even used the word "miracle" when describing the progression. It was a great opportunity to point out the awesomeness of God.

I also still see a miracle every time a new life is given over to Christ. Amazing!

"...thinking more along the lines of the healing miracles that happened a lot in the Bible. If God is still the same, He can still do those things."

My thoughts, often. I long to see more healing miracles and I long to exemplify one of those believers who had those signs follow because I believed--being used by God simply and nonreligiously. Nothing better than seeing someone in suffering pain and discomfort, instantly healed because of a quiet word or touch. When will more of these things be?
  • I feel ya. God can still do it. I realized on the drive that in actuality I didn't believe He could for some reason. There was a little doubt there. I changed that on the drive home

Yes, you are quite an amazing person. My son wants so badly to live in Ft. Collins - keeps visiting his friends there. Hope that dream comes true for him. Keep up the good work & thanks for the pic!
  • I do too cuz Fort Collins is awesome. Thanks for reading
  • That makes any drive amazing. I remember when I was moving to vegas to work at a church and we drove through New Mexico and some of Arizona and it was winter there and just being blown away by the landscape. that makes a 24 hour drive a little better.
  • it sure does. thanks for reading kyle. hows 8bit?
  • Arizona has gorgeous sunsets and really nifty sunrises. Because of my work schedule during the course of the year I get to see at least one usually. The sunsets in Phoenix are amazing because of the pollution. Guess that would make them a little less amazing.

  • Prudence, Atlanta had terrible pollution problems. I actually live in Fort Collins, so I dont get the Denver nastiness too often
  • Can you maybe send some of those miracles my way? I need strength and although I am not very spiritual, (sorry) I love what you write. thanks. I envy your rocky mountains.
    My recent post Leading Lady

I need my friend Teresa to be healed of cancer and be able to have her bowel and rectum reconstructed to be whole again=no colostomy bag.
  • wow. praying for that.
