baseball season20

Posted In Uncategorized

If you don’t know, baseball is my favorite sport. It always has been and always will be. I was a pitcher up until high school and decided to quit because I didn’t really see a future in it. In addition to not seeing a future, I lost my passion for the game. Instead of playing baseball I went and got a job so I could make some “cheese”. This was for the subwoofers that went in the back of my Nissan Pathfinder. :) Back to the story now. The Braves were my favorite team growing up. Now that I live in Colorado, I feel it should be the Rockies. Here is a conversation I had with a friend from Georgia today. He even knows what’s up.—

(Above the talk about the Rockies in that text message, we talked about balloon boy. You forgot about him, didn’t you? Oh, and Nate’s last name isn’t really, Hump. It’s Humphreville. I thought I should let you know that.)

I don’t even know if the people that read this blog are into sports. I doubt you are because I never write anything about sports.

What is something you thought you would end up doing later on in life when you were growing up, but ended up losing a passion for?

Sitting in Dallas thinking about the great city I just left. Many great things happened there and here are some things that helped the experience and that I will definitely miss:

I will miss @chapelhill and all my friends there.
I will miss how big twitter is there.
I will miss The Varsity.
I will miss all the great shopping.
I will miss southern hospitality.
I will miss all the big conferences that are there.
I will miss the bands that only go to the biggest of the big cities which usually include Atlanta and sometimes not Denver.

What is your favorite thing about Atlanta?

Howdy

Posted In Church

I haven’t talked to someone outside my small circle of friends at my church in a long time. I talk to the same people week in and week out and don’t think twice about it. Yep, this is not good. So, my challenge to myself is to meet new people at my church in the next couple of weeks. I’ll give myself the goal of meeting 3 new people in the next month. Hold me to it guys. So, do you know what I’m talking about? We need new relationships. They make us grow personally and get us outside of our church group box we have built for ourselves. When’s the last time you shook someone else’s hand, said howdy and really got to know them as a friend?

What To Do…26

Yep, that picture is Atlanta. Looks like it rained quite a bit there. Right now I’m sitting in Macon, GA thinking “man, I’m sure glad I got out of Atlanta.” Well, the rain just started pouring hard here. The lights have flickered twice and I’m hoping we don’t lose power. There would be no MNF and no computer when the battery juice ran out. The last time power went out, we lit some candles and played Apples to Apples. So, do you- read a book, write, play cards, talk, play guitar…What do you do when the power goes out?
