pumped

Doing Sunday night services @orchardchurch = me watching online service @chapelhill. Music was awesome during worship service, but that wasn’t what did it for me. It was actually "Jesus Saves" by Carlos Whittaker during baptisms that got me pumped. There’s something about getting excited about what Jesus is doing in lives. More exciting than that football game on Saturday or Sunday– We’re talking about eternity here. So tell me something, what church song got you pumped today? Did the song go back a little ways and it took you to that place in life where you were closer to God than where you are now, or was it newness?

I wasn't able to go to Church today but on the way to see my brother in prison I started singing to myself: "Lord you are good and your mercy endures forever". It was definitely a moment.

"Born Again" Third Day: Always seems to put my day into perspective. With three boys, a wife that works nights and youth pastoring…I need perspective.

H1N1 meant no corporate worship but listened to my iPod and worshipped at home:
    Word of God Speak
    Amazing Grace-Chris Tomlin
    Praise You In This Storm
    Just to name a few…

"Healer" by Michael Guglielmucci. I know there's alot of controversy surrounding the song but I still like it. It's ironic and beautiful- almost better because of the story behind it.

That was truly an awesome moment.
I also at that time was pretty pumped, not only to see life change but I witnessed a new way of doing baptism in church that i had not seen before and loved it.

Wow just now reading this, Sunday seems so long ago having trouble remembering what we sang. I know one or two of them were from Enter the Worship Circle which prompted me to listen to that on Monday which prompted my tweet "You are my Jesus who loves me! You are beautiful my sweet, sweet song!"

This morning we sang, "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever" and it was awesome. It momentarily took me back to a time in youth group when we would sing that song often & how during that time I used to think so so much about everything. Thinking about that really made me smile, because since that time I've learned to not think about everything and just trust more.
