inspiration

jackalopekid twitter update inspiration

Today I tweeted the above statement on twitter.

I found the inspiration at The American Mountaineering Museum from stories about people like Ed Viesturs and Jim Whittaker. The museum also houses the American Alpine Club. It’s a great place to visit if you’re ever in the Golden, CO area.

So, I found myself here after getting distracted from one of my main goals, which is mountain climbing. My ultimate goal is to climb the seven summits. This is the tallest summit on each continent. This of course includes the tallest summit in the world, Mount Everest.

Small scale replica of Mount Everest and it’s different routes that are traveled.

I know I talk about goals a lot, but if we didn’t have goals, where would we end up? It’s definitely easier when you have something to aim for.

It’s that goal that I want to accomplish, but things keep getting in the way of it. The time that it takes to train is being taken up with other stuff right now. The time that it takes to travel to these destinations is also being taken up with other stuff right now.

Maybe you have a goal like this. You really want something, but just can’t find the time to accomplish it.

Well, I’m thinking that I just needed a little inspiration.

What/Who inspires you?
