I sometimes fib a little to God even though He knows what I’m telling Him is a lie. I tell Him I’m doing ok, when I’m not doing so hot. I do this to actually make myself feel better. But you see, He never leaves me alone or forgets about me even when I forget about Him. This is the beautiful part, folks. I think I know God’s love, but I can’t even fathom it. Tell me something…

The visual I use is that teamwork trust exercise. Close your eyes. Fall back. Trust that your coworkers are going to catch you. Not let you fall. God is like that. Still scary sometimes, but that trust builds every time. No matter the "fib". God's arms are there. To catch me. He never leaves me.

Speaking from recent experience, God NEVER GIVES UP ON YOU. Even when you stray or turn away from Him.
He will come and find you and woo you back with His love.
